Housing and Meal Plans


Housing during Connections

All students who have a contract for on-campus housing may move in a full week before classes begin at no extra charge.  Residents should check in with the area office designated for their building. Students are encouraged to arrive on one of the following days as this is when we will be fully staffed to accommodate check-ins:
Saturday, August 15   10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 16     10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 18    10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (this is also the day of Connections check-in)
*Connections will begin on Wednesday, August 19.

Students who are living off campus should contact their landlord about housing arrangements during Connections.

Meal Plans and Connections

Connections students who have a meal plan should eat at the Marketplace or the Junction during Connections week. Meal plans begin on Saturday, August 15.

Connections students who do not have a meal plan can eat in the Hub, the Quadside Cafe, or at special catering lunches that will be provided for non-meal plan students during Connections lunch breaks. You can purchase tickets for the catering lunches at Connections check in on Tuesday, August 18. Each lunch ticket is $6. Tickets for these lunches will only be sold during Connections check in. Your Connections instructor or peer mentor will tell you if you are having lunch as a class on any of the days. The menus for the catering lunches are as follows:

  • Wednesday*: Pulled Pork Sandwiches, potato salad, cookies, and sodas or bottled water
  • Thursday*: Hawaiian haystacks with all the fixings, otter-pops, and sodas or bottled water
  • Friday*: Philly Steak Sandwiches with chips, brownies and sodas or bottled water
  • *Vegetarian options can be available for any day. Please order a vegetarian meal when purchasing your ticket.
