Registering for Connections: Option A or B
Most students prefer Option A, which meets the week before fall semester begins and for three one-hour semester sessions after the semester begins. Option B meets for eight weeks during fall semester.
Option A Traditional Connections - 2 credits
(including Honors sections)
Held the week before fall semester begins.
Also meets for one hour, once per week, for an additional three weeks at the beginning of the semester. The band section includes band camp and weekly classes during the first eight weeks of the semester. (More information about USU bands)
Option A Registration Checklist
- Registration is online - you will need to login to Access (USU student records program/site). When choosing a section, note there may be one that matches your major or interest. (Band students be sure to choose the band section)
- Purchase the required book: Barefoot Heart: Sotries of a Migrant Child by Elva Trevino Hart, for the Common Literature Experience. More information.
- If you haven't already done so, print the Literature Questions from the Literature assignments page.
- Complete the Literature Assignment BEFORE your first Connections class.
Option B Semester-Based Connections - 1 credit
Held twice a week during the first eight weeks of the semester.
Option B Registration Checklist
- Register for USU 1010. Choose from available sections for Plan B:
