Internship Application Procedure

Eligibility:

Interested student must have completed:

  • all course work and a minimum of 3 years of graduate training in an APA or CPA accredited counseling or clinical psychology doctoral program.
  • a minimum of 500 AAPI Intervention and Assessment hours and 800 AAPI Grand Total Practicum Hours.
  • dissertation proposal defense and passed Comprehensive Exams by the application deadline.

Application Procedure:

We only accept applications that are submitted electronically via the APPIC "AAPI Online" service (see www.appic.org). A complete application includes the following materials:

    1. A Cover letter, clearly outlining why you would be a good match for our site.
    2. Current vita.
    3. Copies of all graduate school transcripts.
    4. Three letters of reference, including at least one from a practicum supervisor.

Applications must be completed and electronically submitted by November 15, 2009 to be considered.

After November 15th, all completed applications will be individually reviewed over a period of several weeks. Top applicants are then contacted and scheduled for a telephone interview. On-site interviews are not offered. Candidates who are no longer being considered will be notified by e-mail in a timely manner.
