About

The goals of the USU Cycling Club are: to provide an opportunity for fair and safe competition for collegiate cyclists; to support a diverse group of events including road racing, cyclo-cross and mountain biking, and to promote an increase in the number of members of the club, the number of events promoted by the club and the level of competition.

Club Eligibility

Membership is open to all Utah State University students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff, and Cache Valley residents who are interested in cycling in any form. If you wish to ride in a NCCA event for Utah State, you need to purchase a team uniform and meet team eligibility requirements. Members are put on an e-mail list, and will receive updates via e-mail concerning activities, races etc. Members can also use the list to e-mail all other club members to plan group rides, or to look for parts, or any other thing that you can think of that concerns this great sport!

Team Eligibility

Racing in NCCA events requires the following:

  • Must have current NCCA collegiate, USCF or NORBA (for mountain bike races only) license *If no current license is held, member must purchase a one- day license in order to participate in events
  • Must purchase USU team jersey (mandatory to compete in NCCA events or to receive any possible fee reimbursement)
  • Must maintain credits (9.0 enrolled credits) and GPA requirements (2.0) in order to ride in a NCCA event
  • Must be a student in order to ride in a NCCA event
  • Must fill out all liability release forms with USU Campus Recreation department prior to any team participation, including practices
