Mass Mail Services
The U.S. Postal Service has provided the following procedures to assist in the processing of bulk mail. If ALL of these regulations are not followed completely, the USPS will return the mailing for resorting. Incorrect bundling may also jeopardize the university’s mailing privileges.
FIRST-CLASS PRESORT
To qualify for a “First-Class Presort” mailing, you must have a minimum of 500 pieces. All mail pieces must be the same weight. All pieces must be sent within the U.S. and have a 5-digit zip code applied.
STANDARD A CLASS NON-PROFIT or REGULAR BULK
To qualify for a “Standard A Class Non-Profit” or “Regular Bulk” mailing, you must have a minimum of 200 pieces. All mail pieces must be identical material and weight. All pieces must be sent within the U.S. and have a 5-digit zip code applied.
