Police Services
Few things in life are offered without a charge. But when you visit USU and have a small crisis, we may be able to help. All of our "Services with a Smile" are offered 24-hours a day at no charge. To order these services call the USU Police at 797-1939.
For Emergencies dial 911 -- from any campus phone.
JUMPSTARTS -- Car battery gone dead? Quite common on USU campus during the winter. An officer will respond as soon as possible and jump-start your battery.
LOCKOUTS -- Locked your keys in your car? No problem. We can open most cars with professional equipment.
**IMPORTANT** We rarely damage a car while unlocking it. However, should we damage the car, Utah State University (including any of its departments) will not pay for any damages.
PERSONAL ESCORTS -- Although, USU campus is safe and relatively crime free per capita, one of our primary interests is the safety of all persons while on campus. A uniformed officer will provide anyone with a personal escort to another location on campus. You need not be a student or employee to benefit from this service.
LET-INS -- Officers will respond to open a location for which you are authorized. USU Police CANNOT give authorizations. You must get them from your department. A picture I.D. is required at the time of the let-in.
