Scholarships
The DRC sponsors a small competitive scholarship program each year. Students applying for scholarships must be admitted to Utah State University, have a minimum GPA of 2.4, and be registered for classes at USU. Students may not be attending another institution while receiving the scholarship from the DRC. If you have further questions about scholarships, please contact Angie Olsen, at (435) 797-0104.
DRC Scholarships
Harold L. Nielsen Memorial Scholarship:
Scholarship awards offered to a student with a documented visual disability. Awards based upon academic standing and financial need.
Robert K. Baum Memorial Engineering Scholarship:
Two $500.00 scholarships provided for students in the College of Engineering. Preferences given to graduates from Wasatch High School in Heber City, UT. The other scholarship(s) given to individual(s) with documented disabilities.
Non-DRC Scholarships
Public Service Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities:
The Washington Center is able to provide a total of 50 competitive scholarship awards in the amount of $8,500 for students with disabilities interested in working in the executive, judicial or legislative branches of the federal government during the fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters (scholarships are not available in the summer).

Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders
The AHF, Incorporated website has a list of 26 scholarships for college students with Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders. The scholarship application dates and award amounts vary.

Patrick Charnon Memorial Scholarship
The Center for Education Solutions is accepting applications for their Patrick Charnon Memorial Scholarship.
Applicants must submit a 2-4 page essay explaining how community service experiences have shaped your life and college education.

The National Federation of the Blind is accepting applications for 30 scholarships ranging in award amounts from $3,000- $12,000.

Patient Advocate
The Patient Advocate Foundation is offering ten, $3,000 scholarships for students under 25 that are or have been diagnosed with cancer or a critical or life threatening disease.

Sertoma International offers two $1,000 scholarships to cover tuition, books and supplies. Applicant must be hard of hearing or Deaf, or have a communicative disorder.

The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults National College Scholarship Program funds multiple scholarships for young adults whose lives have been impacted by cancer and are seeking higher education.

DART Center is now accepting applications for their Community Organizing Institute. The institute is a paid, four-month field school of people interested in launching a career in community organization.

NMHA Awards
The National Mental Health Association is calling for nominations for the "Outstanding Efforts in the Mental Health Awards." The MPower Award is for young adults ages 13-23, who have spoken out about mental health issues to educate their peers and eliminate stigma. Recipients will receive two nights' lodging, round-trip travel and a full registration to the 2008 Annual meeting for themselves and one other person.

Incight is offering a long-term scholarship program for students with disabilities. This program helps to reduce barriers of education advancement. They work with students on through mentoring and internship opportunities, empowerment trainings and career planning.
