question

What if the plan seems inappropriate or could be improved?

Call the DSO and talk to the counselor or the person who directs the office and tell him or her you have questions or concerns. In the meantime, continue to provide the accommodations according to the plan; to do otherwise could create a situation in which you could be legally vulnerable. Do not argue with the student about his or her disability or about the accommodations he or she is receiving.

Do not refuse to provide an accommodation that is specified. The most positive thing that a faculty member can do is to think of ways to adapt the plan so that the accommodation will be both reasonable to you and helpful to the student.
