Students with disabilities
- Instructors will be involved in providing accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Students who meet the institution’s eligibility requirements have the right to disability-related accommodations.
- When they graduate, students with disabilities are as likely to be employed in their chosen fields as other students.
Faculty
- Faculty can create an accepting classroom environment.
- Syllabus statements make it easier for students to approach faculty.
- Faculty are required to help provide accommodations recommended by the DSO.
- Faculty should provide accommodations after receiving a letter from the DSO.
- Accommodations for students with disabilities should not lower standards or compromise academic integrity.
