Once the student provides the letter

Once the student provides you with a letter from the DSO, take some time to look it over. Set up a time to talk privately with the student so you can review the DSO recommendations and discuss how the accommodation will be delivered.

Plan a way to carry out the accommodation so that the student’s confidentiality is protected as much as possible. If the request seems clear and reasonable, complete your portion of the form and return it to the DSO. Be sure to keep a copy of the request for your files and refer back to it as needed.
