Services Available to Qualifying Students


Alternate Format Print Materials

Texts and other materials can be made available in digital format, recordings or large print.


Accommodated Testing

Extended time, readers, scribes, and distraction-reduced testing rooms.


Notetaker's

Notetaker's in the class provide notes for eligible students. Notes are sent to the student by e-mail or WebCT.


Sign Language Interpreters and Transcription Services

Trained sign language interpreters and transcription using the TypeWell system.


Transition Services

Counseling, advising, peer mentors will be provided by DRC staff and trained student mentors.


Assistive Technology

The Assistive Learning Center, located within the DRC (University Inn, Rm 101).


Communication Support

Sorensen VRS, TTY and Assistive listening devices are available in the DRC.

Equipment Loan

Tape recorders, hand held magnifiers, AlphaSmart and other small devices are available for check-out. Sorry, wheelchairs or crutches are not available.


Architectural Access

The DRC will assist students in arranging access including Writing desks, chairs and alternate class locations. Fill out online Barrier Alert form here.


Priority Registration

Available for students who have individual scheduling needs or to aid in providing high demand DRC services.


DRC Scholarships

Available for qualifying students. Fill out the application and submit it to Angie Olsen.
