Do you know What it Takes to Grow a Good Root System? This presentation will cover where and how roots grow in the soil, the importance of roots, and how to work with nature to grow roots and root systems that can sustain trees. Dr. Mike Kuhns, USU Forestry Extension Specialist will present.

Dance your PhD video by Zachary Brym. Dance Your Ph.D. is a competition sponsored by Gonzo Labs and the AAAS. Students are challenged to present a concept or finding from their Ph.D. research in an interpretive dance. My dance benefited from an energetic film and choreography crew (Andy Lorimer, Stephanie White) and the talents of the USU Drumline and some Cache Valley Civic Ballet Dancers. We're excited to share the final cut!

Utah State University’s Museum of Anthropology offers an illustrated lecture by archaeologist Tim Riley Friday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. Riley, a guest of USU’s museum, is the curator of archaeology at the Prehistoric Museum at USU Eastern in Price, Utah. The lecture is presented in Old Main, Room 225 and is free and open to everyone.
