Lunch Program
Child Nutrition Program
Morning and afternoon snacks and lunch are offered to children in each program. Family -style dining in a small group setting is used to foster a relaxed and social atmosphere where children are encouraged to try new foods and develop self-help skills such as pouring, serving, and cleaning-up. Our snack and lunch programs are supported in part through the USDA Child Care Program as administered through the Utah State Office of Education (USOE) Child Nutrition Program. Staff members are trained to follow nutritional guidelines in planning snacks and USU Food Services is contracted and responsible for planning balanced, multicultural, and appetizing menus for lunch primarily to those children enrolled on a full day basis.
