  FAC - Stage Crew  
  Stage, lighting, and sound technicians all come from the same pool of stage crew.  All employees are encouraged to learn and develop skills in all areas of production, but for those who may be interested it is possible to specialize in specific production areas.  
     
 

Stage Crew:

  
  Stage technicians set up and move any and all rigging, scenery, risers, chairs and any other staging needs during a given production process. This can include anything from maintenance projects specific to performance venues, to the simple opening of a backstage door for a performer. We are looking for those with previous skill, or interest in all of these areas:  
  • Stage rigging (counterweight systems, knot tying, chain and steel cable)
  • Lifting heavy things
  • Lifting light things
  • Simple carpentry skills
  • Setting up headset communication systems
  • Acting as communication between the stage and the control booths
  • Setting up and taking down orchestra and coir acoustical shells
  • Setting up and taking down choir risers and platform systems
  • Arranging chairs in preparation for band/orchestral concerts
  • Assisting the lighting technicians during setup/ strike
  • Assisting the sound technicians during setup/strike
  • Organizing and cleaning production specific stages/storage areas
