Q Center
The GLBTA Resource and Lending Library
The former Gay and Lesbian Student Resource Center (GLSRC) has been re-named, remodeled, and reorganized. The new GLBTA Services Office will continue to do the work that the GLSRC began and had great success with.
According to the historical notes in the office, the GLBTA Resource and Lending Library was formed specifically to provide a safe place for everyone (students, staff, faculty, community members) to conduct research about GLBTQQI2SA related issues. In the early years, USU's library holdings, including books, journals, and magazines about GLBTQQI2SA related issues were often vandalized, destroyed, or simply thrown away. Now the GLBTA Resource and Lending Library is thriving. We have a modest collection of books, including both fiction and non-fiction, biography and memoir, about topics as varied as activism, AIDS, queer health, bisexuality, and how to accept your gay child. Our collection contains documentaries, feature films, and popular current periodicals. We also have three computers that are available for conducting private research online. Most materials are available for check-out.
The Q Center, The GLBTA Resource and Lending Library, and GLBTA Services are located in the Taggart Student Center, room 316 A + B. University mailing code: 0175.
The main telephone number is 435-797-GAYS (4297).
