Travel Support
One of the most exciting aspects of graduate education is the opportunity for graduate students to travel to present research and/or attend conferences and participate in a variety of certification and training programs. Unfortunately, travel is a big expense and often prevents students from experiencing everything a graduate education has to offer.
At Utah State University there are several ways to obtain support for these academic endeavors. For those students who are presenting research at a conference or have the opportunity to participate in professional training courses, focus groups and certification programs, the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) offers two $300 award for eligible Master's students and three $300 awards for eligible Doctoral students. Often these monies will be matched by a departmental contribution. Last year alone, the GSS awarded over $28,000 in travel money to graduate students.
