Reid Furniss advises current and potential sociology students on major requirements, general education, university graduation requirements, major and university policies, and deadlines. Reid also advises students completing the sociology or sociology teaching minors.

Current and potential students in the Social Work and Anthropology majors have two advisors: Reid Furniss who advises on general education, university graduation requirements, and general university policies and deadlines only, and a department advisor for major requirement and internship advising only. Students should meet with both Reid and the department advisor on a regular basis.
