| Profile An internationally recognized expert on World War II propaganda, Robert Cole has published eight books, twelve articles, and more than forty book reviews. He is the author of Britain and the 'War of Words' in Neutral Europe, 1939-45 (1990) and has edited the three-volume Encyclopedia of Propaganda (1998). His monograph entitled Propaganda, Censorship and Irish Neutrality in the Second World War was published in Spring 2006. His Traveller's History of France is now in its seventh edition in English and has been translated into Spanish, Finnish, and Swedish, and his Traveller's History of Paris is in its fourth edition. He has also written and published Traveller's History of Germany (2002). Dr.Cole has received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Philosophical Society, and the International Studies Association. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 1994. Coming to Utah State University in 1970, Dr. Cole has risen through the ranks of assistant and associate to full professor. He earned his bachelor's degree at Ottawa University, his master's at Kansas State University, and his doctorate at the Claremont Graduate University in Southern California. He enjoys teaching a wide range of courses and serves on numerous university committees. |
