PROGRAMS

The history department is an academic unit within the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, one of a number of colleges at Utah State University, a public, land-grant university picturesquely situated in northern Utah’s Wasatch mountains.

The college is widely recognized for the quality of its faculty and its graduates and undergraduates. In keeping with the college’s tradition of excellence, the history department offers graduate and undergraduate students a rigorous course of study.

The department’s faculty specialize in a variety of fields, including European, American, African, environmental, Latin American, Ottoman, Middle Eastern and Asian history. Moreover, because the college encourages cross-disciplinary research, graduate students may tailor their master’s program to take advantage of faculty expertise throughout the University.
