Directions on how to establish connection to the full-text online version of WHQ at the History Cooperative:

Western History Association Members

Individual members of the WHA --- who are not connecting to the Coop from a subscriber institution --- can set up a personal account. To do this:

  • Go to the History Cooperative homepage (http://www.historycooperative.org)
  • Follow the links and instructions to set up your login account.

NOTE: You will need your four-digit WHA membership number to set up your account. This number is printed on the WHQ mailing label immediately to the right of (not above) your name.

PROBLEMS? Contact the WHQ. Email: whq@usu.edu; Phone: 435-797-1301.

Once you have set up your personal account and password, you can go straight to the login screen at

http://www.historycooperative.org/login.html

Institutional Subscribers

If you are connecting from an institution that currently subscribes to the Western Historical Quarterly, you will automatically receive access to full online content. This is enabled through the use of your institutional IP number and does not require a personal login.

If your institution subscribes to the paper journal, but you find you cannot access the full-text online version, ask your librarian to fill out the History Cooperative’s Online IP Registration Form. Librarians can find this form and more information at http://www.historycooperative.org/access.html
