Dr. Day is the coordinator for in vitro contract services at the IAR. He has 13 years of experience as an analytical scientist in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, including 3 years as the Vice President for quality assurance at Nelson Laboratories, Inc. He is a certified quality auditor (ASQ), and has been an audit coordinator for FDA and ISO 9001 audits. He is a registered microbiologist (NRM) and certified as a specialist microbiologist (NRM). He served as the chairman of the National Registry for Microbiologists (1998-2001). He completed a B.S. degree in Microbiology and M.S. degree in Biological Science Education at Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in Bioveterinary Science (virology emphasis) at Utah State University.
