Justin Julander

Dr. Julander received his Ph.D. in Bioveterinary Sciences from Utah State University in 2005, after which he was appointed Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences at USU. Research interests include the treatment of acute flaviviral and alphaviral diseases using animal models and development of novel techniques to characterize respiratory disease during influenza infection. He has established several animal models at USU, including yellow fever, dengue, Venezuelan equine encephalitis and western equine encephalitis viruses. Dr. Julander is an author on 24 scientific papers published or accepted for publication.
