Course Description

This course develops writing skills for beginning academic writers. It focuses on description, narration, and canonical word order at sentence and paragraph levels.

Course Goals

• Learn forms and functions of grammatical features appropriate to the writing task
• Develop personal and academic writing such as narrative and description
• Develop beginning level writing at the sentence to paragraph level
• Learn revision process
