Course Description

This course builds reading skills for level 1 students. Students read texts individually and collaboratively. The focus is on active reading (e.g., making use of background knowledge, predicting, and critically assessing reading passages).

• Develop vocabulary
• Use a dictionary (monolingual and/or bilingual)
• Improve reading comprehension
• Develop reading skills and strategies
