IELI 1230 Cross-Cultural Talk

Course Description

This multilevel course for level 1 and 2 students is designed to improve oral communication through small group work and one-on-one conversation with American undergraduate students. Emphasis is on interactive language fluency. Level 1 students advancing to level 2 repeat this course for additional credit.

Course Goals

• Improve oral communication with native English speakers
• Use language in different situations related to North American culture
• Develop skills in group conversation in both formal and informal situations
• Use technology relevant to course goals
