Driver's Test (License) of Logan (Continued)

Written by Young-Mi from Korea when in IELI level 2

As a result, I failed one time. After that day, I practiced for the head check during one week. As a result, I passed the road test. It was interesting. My new experience is the written test with an open book without limitation of time. And the head check needs to be done to enter a street as well as a wide road.

It took about seven months for me to get a driver’s license. To get it I needed a social security number. However, I could not get one. In USU, a J2 visa does not obtain a social security number. My husband found out how to get one. First, I should have gotten working permission. Then, I send in an application with $200 to the office. After three months, I could receive a social security number. Then I went to the city hall of Logan for an interview. Finally, I received a social security number. Then I could take the driver’s license test again. This process was not easy. The head check was not an accustomed gesture for me. However, it is useful for safe driving and I can drive legally.
