The Association of Public and Land-grant Universitites (APLU) is the nation's oldest higher education association, representing 215 public flagship universities, land-grant colleges, and state university systems. The Congressional and Governmental Affairs division of APLU is focused on advocacy and policy development on the federal issues affecting U.S. public higher education. Interns work with the Congressional and Governmental Affairs staff to promote the association's agenda to the federal government.

Duties:
Attend and report on Congressional hearings and federal agency briefings
Carry out research projects
Interact with other members of the higher education community
Assist in other projects as necessary
This internship is unpaid with a transit subsidy.
