To apply for these internships, please download the application packet, fill it out, and bring it to Old Main 109, or email it to brandee.halverson@usu.edu. Applications for Spring, 2014 will be accepted through October15, although some internships will be filled before then.

Some internships you must apply for directly through their organization. If this is the case, the description will have direction on how to apply. Please let us know when you apply for these internships. We have connections in many of these offices, and we can make sure they see your application. Note that some of these organizations may have different deadlines.

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universitites (APLU) is the nation's oldest higher education association, representing 215 public flagship universities, land-grant colleges, and state university systems. The Congressional and Governmental Affairs division of APLU is focused on advocacy and policy development on the federal issues affecting U.S. public higher education. Interns work with the Congressional and Governmental Affairs staff to promote the association's agenda to the federal government.

Semesters: Spring, Summer, Fall

Duties:
Attend and report on Congressional hearings and federal agency briefings
Carry out research projects
Interact with other members of the higher education community
Assist in other projects as necessary

This internship is unpaid with a transit subsidy.
