AT Products Satellite Convener Operation
The
AT Products Satellite Convener provides the dial up link to allow students
at remote sites to interact by voice with the instructor in a satellite
distance learning class. The convener system provides a connection to
a phone line, one or more microphones for the student, and a speaker and
volume control for the satellite audio. The box automatically mutes the
satellite audio while the student presses the push-to-talk button on the
microphone.
The style of the AT Box, some features, and positions of some connectors varies, but the principle of operation is the same for each box.
The
steps to follow to connect with each box is the same. On the end panel of
the box: Flip the silver switch down to phone line position
Set the black rocker switch to off for at least 4 seconds to reset the phone line, if the switch was not already in the off position.
Push the black rocker switch to the left for dial tone.
Dial your access number, wait for the recorded message and the beep.
Enter the passcode for your program, followed by the pound key (#) three times
Return the silver switch to the up position for satellite audio
Indentify yourself to the origination room by site name.
