Welcome to MAE

USU offers BS, MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis areas in aerospace, computational, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering, being the broadest engineering discipline, prepares graduates for a wide range of career opportunities. Employment is available in design, research and development, testing and manufacturing in private businesses, consulting firms, government agencies and educational institutions. Mechanical Engineering graduates obtain a working knowledge of core engineering disciplines including mechanics, design, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermal science, and materials science. In addition to an excellent engineering education graduates obtain practical skills to succeed in their chosen career path via summer internships and participation with faculty on a wide range of research projects. Emphasis is given to computer aided design and analysis, communication, and teamwork.
