Literally, "As far as this goes, I could carry the basket of the goddess (i.e. Athena) now, O wretched woman! For, as they say, ‘pure of marriage' I've been sitting here for three days." Young girls—presumably virgins—carried the holy basket of the goddess Athena in the Panathenaic parade held every year in Athens to honor the city's patron goddess.
