Sarah
Sample

Singer/songwriter
Sarah Sample was born in Utah and attended college in Utah, but
she has moved more than twenty-two times in her short life, living
in Texas, Georgia, California, and Oregon. She grew up in Santa
Barbara, California until she was seventeen, then she moved back
to Utah with her mother. Here she has developed a loyal following
of fans. She comes from a musical family and was exposed to a variety
of music as she grew up. She got her first guitar in the sixth grade,
and is now an accomplished guitarist with a unique style. She counts
among her musical influences Patty Griffin, Otis Redding, Bonnie
Raitt, David Wilcox, Joni Mitchell, Blackalicious, Van Morrison,
and more. She says, “I have always loved a stage. Performing
is dear to my heart, especially in music, where there is a chance
of connection and elevation that is inspiring to all involved.”
She is now completing her internship at the Center for Music Therapy
in Austin, Texas, for her degree in Music Therapy from Utah State
University. And, yes, she’s also making a dent in the amazing
Austin music scene.
