Jonathan Dennis Jorgensen, 22
Agricultural Business Major
A native of tiny Peoa in Utah's Summit County, Jonathan Jorgensen's dream was to become a rancher and raise horses and cattle with his brothers.
"He loved to ride horses and be in the field," his mother, Susan, recalls. "He loved his wife, he loved the Lord and he was a good servant."
Jonathan's father, Dennis, says his son had a special way with children. "He knew all the little kids and they all knew him. He would turn them upside down and rub their heads, and they loved that."
Jonathan also had an affinity for animals and was always bringing one home to tend.
"He could get animals to do anything . . . he was probably a horse whisperer," Susan says.
Jonathan served an LDS mission in Panama and in Houston and was pursuing a degree in agricultural business.
When not working or studying, Jonathan enjoyed dancing with his wife, Shari, whom he met on the dance floor.
