Justin Gunnell's brother, Jeff, said his sibling, who was president of the Ag Tech Club, loved fertile soil, John Deere tractors, beef cattle, USU's Caine Dairy where he worked and his dogs.
But most of all, said Jeff, Justin loved his wife, Connie Israelsen Gunnell.
Justin married Connie after serving an LDS mission to England. He completed the dairy herdsman program at USU and was working toward a degree in agricultural systems.
Doyle Knudsen, Justin's supervisor at the Caine Dairy, said Justin often brought treats for co-workers and was always ready to work. Though he had a lot on his plate, balancing school, work and leadership responsibilities, Knudsen said Justin's top priority was his family.
"Justin was probably about as gentle and kind and courteous and thoughtful as anyone you'd ever meet," his father-in-law, Clark Israelsen, said.
