Research Opportunities in Kibale National Park

Given its physical setting, diverse biota, varied management history, diversity of ecosystems (e.g., rainforest, savanna, wetlands, rivers, crater lakes, agricultural land), and long-term data on many aspects of forest ecology, there are a myriad of research opportunities available in and around KNP. These include (1) parks/people conflict management; (2) taxonomic-driven research; (3) investigations into forest regeneration and restoration; (4) studies of logging impacts; (5) tropical forest ecology; (6) aquatic ecology; and (7) ecosystem management.
