Caine Jazz Combo

 

The Caine Jazz Combo is a scholarship-based group of seven of the best jazz musicians at USU. These seven students (trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums) meet twice a week in a credit-granting class under the direction of Jon Gudmundson and play at jazz combo performances throughout the year. USU Jazz Combo

 

The USU Jazz Combo, under the direction of Lars Yorgason, is a flexible group of seven or so members. They meet twice a week in a credit-granting class, and play at jazz combo performances during the year.

 

Faculty Jazz Combo

 

Currently a quartet of Mike Christiansen, Dennis Griffin, Jon Gudmundson, and Lars Yorgason, this group performs at the jazz combo events at USU as well as at high schools and special invitations.
