Mission Statement
The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) wants to give international students what they need for both school and personal activities. The OISS will give leadership and support to make academic, social, and personal experiences better.
Our office is the connection between the students and the local and government offices around the world. We have many people who want to help with admission, information about immigration, and the school, personal and social experiences of students, scholars, and their families while at USU. There are many activities at USU offered by the OISS to help international students and scholars have fun in university life. We want to offer a warm and fun place where all students can learn and socialize in a friendly community of scholars.
OISS offers services and cultural programs to help everyone who speaks a different language at Utah State University, including the following:
- academic and cultural learning programs,
- general and academic advising (information),
- transportation,
- advice and help with conflicts,
- immigration information,
- cultural events planning, and
- help from other students.
The campus also offers a lot of support and student services. Click here for a list of related services.
The OISS wants to give support to international student organizations to strengthen school activities and to provide a good college environment that is similar to our global community. Through the international and multicultural education and student support services set up to help you, the OISS is a cultural connection for students to learn and practice the skills needed to become world citizens.
