ORC Rental Policies and Procedures

Rental Rates

Reservations

  • Reservations can be made in person or over the phone.
  • A deposit of 100% of the transaction must be made to reserve item(s) it is non-refundable.
  • All reservations and rentals must be insured with a valid credit card number.

Late Fees

  • Equipment that is returned late is subject to late fees.
  • A $2.00 fee will be assessed for each contract plus the regular day rate for each item and day that it is late.
  • In addition, if the equipment you returned late was scheduled to be rented by another party before the time that you actually returned it, then you will be charged the entire cost of that party’s reservation
Note: Please don't jeopardize someone else's adventure by returning equipment late..

Check-out Procedures

  • Checking out equipment takes 5-45 minutes or longer depending on the amount of equipment rented.
  • For water-craft packages, schedule a checkout time with the ORC Staff and allow 30-45 minutes.
  • Before leaving the ORC inspect all of the equipment carefully.
  • Report any existing damage to staff members, so you will not be held responsible for existing damages..

Check-in Procedures

  • Equipment must be returned to the ORC staff no later than 5:00 PM on the ending day of the rental period.
  • Equipment check-in can take between 5 - 45 minutes depending upon the amount and type of equipment rented, so please plan accordingly.
  • All equipment must be clean at the time of check in or you will be charged a cleaning fee.
  • A water hose and cleaning equipment are available for use at the ORC.
  • Hanging items on the ORC's front door and then leaving, or anything of the kind is NOT ACCEPTABLE and if the unattended items are stolen the customer will be charged the full replacement fee. Those leaving equipment unattended will loose all future rental privilges.

A Few Reminders

  • Utah Law, Code 41-6-128 requires that red flags or reflectors be attached to end(s) of cargo if it sticks out past either bumper more than 4 feet.
  • Rental items such as canoes may need a flag depending on the vehicle being used.
  • In addition, only 1 canoe per vehicle-top is permitted, NO Exceptions.
  • When strapping rental items to the top or roof of any vehicle severe scratching will occur if there is not a cargo rack.
  • Please bring a blanket or cardboard to protect your vehicle's paint job.
  • The ORC is NOT responsible proper loading and transportation of any rented equipment.
