If you are unable to volunteer to help run the farm, another great way to help us out is to buy our produce! We grow a variety of crops that mature throughout the growing season.
Why buy organic?
The Aggie Student Organic Farm aims to be as self sustaining as possible. This means that all plant residues are recycled on the farm, compost is purchased from local sources, and external inputs are minimized. We follow the USDA Organic program rules on allowable inputs, meaning no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides are used.
How do I purchase produce?
Produce can be purchased in full or half shares. One share is enough produce to feed a family of four to five. Shares last 20 weeks, and produce can be picked up at the Student Farm on 800E and ~1750N or the Natural Resource Building.
2011 growing season (May-September) prices:
One share: $550
Half Share: $330
Also, students sell their produce on campus on the patio of the USU Taggart Student Center from 10 AM until 2 PM every Thursday.
