Utah State University is among the best values in the
country, according to the May/June 2004 issue of Consumer's
Digest. The magazine rated Utah State as the sixth least
expensive university in the country in relation to educational
quality. The magazine picked the colleges and universities
that offer the most academic value per dollar, and the
research was conducted among the best 200 public and
private colleges, according to the Web site www.collegeboard.com.
Utah
State was also named "Best In The West" by
the Princeton Review and lists Utah State as an "Undiscovered
University." In addition, the National Center for
Public Policy and Higher Education ranked Utah State
second in affordability.
Utah
State is home to seven of the last 10 Utah Carnegie
Professors of the Year, as well as seven Rhodes Scholars.
The College of Education was ranked in the top 50 nationally
for the last six years by US News and World Report .
Utah State was awarded a record $186 million dollars
in research. In addition, 80 percent of students live
on campus or nearby.
Utah
State is home to students who send more experiments
into space than any other university in the world as
well as the Space Dynamics Lab, Center for Persons with
Disabilities, the Utah Water Research Lab and soon,
a new School of the Arts.
Utah
State is not just a good value; it also requires high
academic standards. Utah State admitted its best prepared
freshman class in its history with an average ACT of
24 and a 3.6 GPA. When students graduate, 90 percent
of them find jobs in their field within a year, and
86 percent within 6 months.
