2015 PARENT & FAMILY WEEKEND

We are pleased to announce this year's Parent and Family Weekend on October 30-31st! Take advantage of the opportunity to visit your student on a beautiful fall weekend and participate with them exciting athletic events on Friday and the USU Campus and Academic events on Saturday.

Friday October 30, 2015

WOMEN'S SOCCER GAME- 3:00 PM. Cheer on our Women's Soccer team as they take on Boise State. The game will be located on the Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field.

ARTS EXHIBITS at NORA ECCLES HARRISON MUSEUM OF ART- "Abstraction and the Dreaming" and "Transcendence: Abstraction and Symbolism" - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The museum is located at 650 North 1100 East, and the exhibits are free to all visitors.

PRE-GAME TAILGATE MEAL - 6:00 PM. Parents, family members, and students can reserve a place at the tailgate BBQ meal that will occur prior to the game to get everyone excited to cheer on the Aggies! Meal tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children (10 years and younger).

Unfortuately the option to order meals for the tailgate is now unavailable. Please make sure to sign-up early next year!

USU vs. WYOMING FOOTBALL GAME - Kick-time is at 8:15 PM. Get ready to experience a football game as an Aggie! Discounted tickets are available for Aggie families in the General Admission section at $15 per person. Please note that if you would like your student to sit by you in the General Admission seating you will need to purchase a ticket for them, but they can sit in the student section for free with their student ID card.

Tickets are now available only by calling Harrison Walker in Athletics at 435-797-1577.

DISCOUNTED MEAL @ AGGIE MARKETPLACE - Dinner available from 5:00-8:00 PM. The Aggie Marketplace is offering a meal in their all-you-can-eat buffet for $7 per person (regularly $9.50) for those attending Parent and Family Weekend.

LITTLE BEAR BOTTOMS CORN MAZE - 5:00 - 11:00 PM. Little Bear Bottoms is a family farm that grows sod and corn for the enjoyment of guests in the fall. The Maze is located at 5000 S Hwy 89 in Wellsville. Activities include the maze, a haunted river trail, spooky barn rides, and a straw fort. Prices vary with events so be sure to visit their website for more information.

DINNER THEATRE - DEATH OF A DIVA! - 6:30 PM. Music Theatre West, The Logan Golf and Country Club, and Hamiltons have combined forces to bring your family a high-class dinner theatre in a murder-mystery style. Audience members are invited (not required) to dress in the style of the 1920’s for this exciting Halloween event. The show will be presented at the Logan Golf and Country club, 710 N 1500 E in Logan. Tickets can be purchased at www.musictheatrewest.org or at the door.

HISTORIC LOGAN "GHOST" TOUR - 7:00 - 11:00 PM. Experience all new ghosts encounters in historic downtown Logan if you dare! Tickets are $9 and reservations can be made at www.logandowntown.org .

HAUNTED HOLLOW - 7:30-10:30 PM. The American West Heritage Center 4025 South Highway 89-91 in Wellsville hosts the scariest river hollow in Cache Valley. Recommended for ages 8 and older. Admission is $9-12. 

10th WEST SCAREHOUSE - 7:30 - 11:00 PM. Visit Logan's newest Halloween attraction located at 900 N 1000 W. The scarehouse prides themselves in offering "tasteful scaring" without too much gore making this event perfect for the entire family. Visit the www.10thwestscarehouse.com website for pricing and reservations.

USU LIBRARY RECEPTION 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Visit the Merrill Cazier Library for a tour by our fantastic librarians and enjoy donuts and locally produced Apple Cider.

FAMILY PHOTOS ON THE "A" 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Bring the entire family for a photo on the "A" with historic Old Main in the background. Our Aggie mascot, Big Blue will be available to join your photo from 12-1. There's not a better time than fall in Logan to capture your memories. (There is no fee for these photos and you will receive a copy via email following your visit.)

CAMPUS TOURS 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Ambassadors from USU will offer campus tours that will leave from Old Main just next to the photo booth. Please reserve your tour here.

Tickets are $3 off the regular price for Parent and Family Weekend participants who are also purchasing tickets for the football game on Friday evening.
