Outstanding Peer Advisors

Normally the Outstanding Peer Advisor award may be given to the top two peer advisors each academic year. All peer advisors are eligible to be nominated.

The Nomination Instructions (accessed below) are distributed to all departmental supervisors and peer advisors during the middle of the Spring Semester . Nominations may be made by anyone in the USU community (i.e. department supervisors, peer advisors, administrators, students, etc.). Winners are chosen by a committee composed of a minimum of three individuals familiar with the mission of the program that includes a student representative.

Winners receive a certificate and a gift card to the USU Bookstore.

Peer Advising Mission

The Peer Advising Program at Utah State has been in existence for over a decade as a compliment and support to advisors in several academic and student services departments.

The mission of the Peer Advising Program is to be of value and support to:
1. Participating departments at Utah State University.
2. Students utilizing the services of a Peer Advisor.
3. The personal growth of Peer Advisors themselves.
