A
side-splitting and brilliant skewering of the "ex-gay" movement by
David Schmader in a one-man show filmed live.
"Watching
ex-gays play football is like watching a dachshund swim."
This brilliant gay storyteller and
journalist tells of his experiences with the "ex-gay" movement.
Not content to write an expose like most journalists, Schmader
goes underground, not only to meetings, but also on a weekend
retreat. He meets "ex-gays and "never-gays" in his quest for
knowlege and the perfect punchline.
Filmed live in front of an audience at the CoHoTheater in
Portland, Oregon and released by the great new Stage Direct,
Schmader will make you laugh, think and maybe cry. The stage is
fairly bare - there is a table with a few glasses of water, a
chair, a bench, an oriental rug and a picture of Cher.
