Wave Babes, co-produced and co-written by comedienne Georgia Ragsdale, show us just how sexy forty-something can be. Actually, this trio of babes looks better than a lot of twenty-somethings. It's the weekend and Val's (Christina Carlisi) divorce has just become final. Her friends, Sam (Georgia Ragsdale) and Maureen (Carolyn Hennesy) refuse to let her mope and instead whisk her away to the college stomping ground at the beach for a weekend of pure camp. Included with the rental is house hunk, Brock. Yes, Brock's a dude but, ladies, before you get all bigigiddy-the ladies know how to have a good time. Actually there is never enough is there? Ahem, but that's beside the point. The whirlwind production undertaken by this group of friends serves up surf, sun and lots of zany situations. What better way to get your mind off your ex-husband and his new child bride than partying with a group of your oldest friends? Maybe a romp with the house boy? Or perhaps a romp with your lesbian best friend? Anything can happen in this wacky comedy and it does. After seeing this film, you'll be waxing your board and heading into the surf in no time. - Mo Ratel |
