Dr. C. Wesley Holley (Chair)

Dean and Executive Director, Utah State University Uintah Basin
Dr. Holley assumed his responsibilities as the first Dean and Executive Director of the USU Uintah Basin Regional Campus in September of 2008. He was the former Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics at New Mexico State University. His background includes teaching, research and extension at two major land-grant institutions.

Dr. Daryll B. DeWald

Dr. Daryll B. DeWald

Professor & Head, Department of Biology
Dr. DeWald began his career as an Assistant Professor at Utah State University Biology Department in 1995 and developed a research program in the area of cell and developmental biology with a focus on cancer. He has been the head of the Utah State University Department of Biology since 2006. He received his doctorate in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.

Jennifer Gardner

Jennifer Gardner

Student, Brigham City Regional Campus
Jennifer is a non-traditional student attending Utah State University at the Brigham City Campus and is a junior majoring in psychology. She is planning to graduate in the spring of 2010 and then go on to earn a Master's degree in School Counseling. She is a Regional Campus Appointed Representative of the Association of Students at Utah State University. Jennifer was raised in Utah and has been a Box Elder County resident for 17 years. She is married and has three children the oldest of whom is also a USU student.

Dr. Emily Lena Jones

Dr. Emily Lena Jones

Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology, Brigham City Regional Campus
Dr. Jones is an anthropologist and archaeologist who joined the USU Brigham City faculty in Fall 2009. She taught at the University of Arizona and at Diné College, the tribal college of the Navajo Nation, before her move to Brigham City. Her research focuses on human-environment interactions, particularly human responses to climate change. Her current projects are located in New Mexico, Spain, and southeastern Idaho.

Dr. Steven O. Laing

Dr. Steven O. Laing

Chair, Brigham City Regional Campus Advisory Board
Dr. Steven O. Laing currently serves as the chair of the community advisory board for Utah State University's Brigham City Campus. Dr. Laing is also employed as the Coordinator of the Administrative/Supervisory Certificate Program at USU, a position he has held for the past two years. Dr. Laing is a former State Superintendent for Public Instruction in Utah. His service has included seats on the boards of directors of the Council of Chief State School Officers, WestEd (including chairing that board), and the Utah High School Activities Association (where he was inducted into their hall of fame in March, 2006). His master's and doctoral degrees were earned at Brigham Young University in educational leadership.

Dr. Nathan C. Straight

Dr. Nathan C. Straight

Assistant Professor, Department of English, Brigham City Regional Campus
Dr. Straight is an Assistant Professor of English at USU's Brigham City Regional Campus. Originally from Salt Lake City, he earned his doctorate from the University of Oregon before returning to Northern Utah in 2003. Dr. Straight's research focuses on U.S. literature, particularly environmental writing and the literature of the American West. In his teaching, he emphasizes the relationships between writing, identity, and place.

Dr. Robert W. Wagner

Dr. Robert W. Wagner

Executive Director, Distance Education
Dr. Wagner is currently the Executive Director of Distance Education with USU. The Distance Education Office administers USU's online, broadcast, and independent study courses and programs. Robert came to USU in August 2007 as Assistant Vice Provost for Regional Campuses and Distance Education and was promoted to his current position Spring 2008. Robert earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Albany (SUNY) and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Utah. Robert has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in political science and public policy.

Kiersten Wilson

Kiersten Wilson

Development Officer, Brigham City Regional Campus
Kiersten Wilson is the Development Officer and Events Coordinator for the USU Brigham City Regional Campus. She also serves on the USU Brigham City Advisory Board and the USU Women's Center Advisory Board. An outspoken advocate for nontraditional students, she spearheaded the creation of the Students with Children Program and the Little Brigham Aggies Early Care and Education Center. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at USU.
