Imagine a place that depicts the true meaning of a paradise. A Lush landscape of beautiful beaches, abundous exotic fruits, traditional entertainment that is sure to make the men drool and the women weak in the knees, temperatures that never drop below 60 and never rise above 90, and a laid-back lifestyle are just some of the aspects that make the Polynesian Islands a paradise.

Here at Utah State University the Polynesian Student Union represents five of the polynesian cultures and one of the micronesian cultures. These Cultures are:

Fiji
Interesting Facts:
- Fiji is actually a Melanesian Island.


Hawaii
Interesting Facts:
- Hawaii is made up eight islands: Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, Oahu, Molokai, Nanai, Ni'ihau, Ko'olawe.
- Hawaii is the 50th state.
- Hawaii is known for the hula dances.

Aoteroa
Interesting Facts:
- Aoteroa is known to many as New Zealand.
- Aoteroa is also known as "The Land of the Long White Cloud".
- Aoteroa is known for their poi ball and haka dances.

Somoa
Interesting Facts:
- Samoa consists of nine islands: Tutuila, Aunu'u, Ofu, Ta'u, Olosega, Rose Island, Swains Island, Savai'i, and Apia.
- The people of Samoa are known as "The Happy People".
- Seven of the Islands are American Samoa and two of the Islands are Samoa. American Samoa is an U.S. Territory and Samoa is Independent.
- Samoa is known for the fire knife dance.

Tahiti
Interesting Facts:
- Tahiti is the largest of the French Polynesian islands.
- Tahiti is known for their fast hip-shaking dances.

Tonga
Interesting Facts:
- Tonga is the last remaining in the polynesian islands.
- Tonga is known for many of their royal dances like the Kailoa and Tauoluga.
