Lectures

You should obtain a hard copy of the lecture notes and bring them with you to class. You can obtain a hard copy in two ways. You can go to a copy center (tba) and simply photocopy what we have available for you there. Alternatively, you can print the lecture notes directly from this website. If you choose the latter alternative, you should reduce the font size. You reduce the font size by going into the preferences section of your browser (typically under the EDIT menu); select font, and reduce the font down. This will save you money (i.e., your USU printing allotment).

In class, the Dr. Ferguson will often display lecture notes. You can click on a topic below to access the text of those notes in outline format to help you learn and review the concepts presented. Although the notes presented below will not be identical to the notes used in class, they follow the same general format and will help you to understand some of the main points that Dr. Ferguson emphasizes both in class and on exams.

You can search the Internet for sites on these topics using CyberPsyche.

Click here to see the learning objectives for each chapter.

Be sure and check the online Glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

The glossary is available for each chapter once you get to the lecture notes for that chapter. If you click on a chapter title below, this will take you to the lecture notes for that chapter. BE SURE TO PRINT OFF THE LECTURE NOTES IN THE RIGHT ORDER, i.e., corresponding to the lecture that is scheduled for a particular day. You always need to consult the class calendar to know which notes you need for a particular day.
