Camille Odell has been a faculty member of the Department of Psychology since 1998. She is the Associate Director of the Master’s Degree program in Professional School Counselor Education. Teaching interests focus on Developmental Psychology and Psychology of Gender. She currently teaches courses in human development during infancy & childhood, adolescent development, life span development and psychology of gender. Research interests are broadly related to issues of development and behavior in the child and adolescent population. Current research interests include steroid use among the child and adolescent population, maladaptive self-critical perfectionism & ineffective coping, and topics associated with minority sexual orientation. She serves on the Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Advisory Committee for the Utah State Office of Education. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for USU’s Women’s Center. She earned her graduate degree in School Psychology from Utah State University in 1997. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from USU in 1991. She worked as a School Psychologist in the public school system prior to joining the faculty of the Department of Psychology. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the American School Counselor Association.
