Information for Prospective Students of School Psychology at USU
Program Prerequisites
All students must have successfully completed undergraduate course work (a grade of B or better) in the following areas before beginning the School Psychology Program.

Financial Assistance
All students in the school psychology program have the opportunity to apply for departmental and other assistantships. Assistantships are typically 10 or 20 hours a week and in addition to a monthly stipend include a waiver to in-state tuition for out-of-state students. Teaching assistantships are offered through the Psychology Department and involve assisting faculty with their undergraduate or graduate courses. In addition, research assistantships, which involve working with faculty on various research projects, may be available within the Psychology Department or other departments on campus. Clinical assistantships may also be available. These involve working with children and / or families by implementing behavioral interventions and / or conducting assessments. Although assistantship support is not guaranteed, students are often able to secure assistantships.
Application Procedures
The application deadline for the school psychology program is March 1st for admission the following Fall Semester. Applications must include official transcripts of all previous academic work, GRE scores, three letters of recommendation, and a statement of interest.
