Utah state University is seeking Statements of Qualification from qualified Architectural/Engineering Teams to provide design services for the remodel of the George S. Eccles Business building on Campus.
The scope of the services will be limited mainly to the three lower floors and will entail upgrades and new interior finishes. There will be a limited amount of mechanical and electrical work involved in support of the classroom improvements.
The construction budget is $1,600,000 and the intent is to have the construction work performed during the summer semester of 2008.
Interested firms should send four copies of their letter of interest and statement of qualifications outlining their experience in similar work and the experience of the individuals in the firm with with similar work.
Staements of Qualifications should be sent to Utah State University Purchasing Services, Attention Marsha Howell, 1330 East 700 North, Logan, UT 84322-8300, to arrive no later than Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M.
Qualifications will be evaluated based on the following:
Experience of the firm
The experience of the individual team members being proposed for the project,
The ability to perform the work in a limited time frame.
Experience working on a university campus.

The scope of the services will be limited mainly to the three lower floors and will entail two distinct phases. The first phase will include working with an architectural/engineering team to offer pre-construction services regarding estimating and constructability reviews.
The second phase will entail soliciting bids for the various parts of the work and performing the work. The selected construction management firm may self perform the work if qualified and the rates are competitive. There will be a limited amount of mechanical and electrical work involved in support of the classroom improvements. The construction budget is $1,600,000 and the intent is to have the construction work performed between May 5 and August 15, 2008.
Interested firms should send four copies of their letter of interest and statement of qualifications outlining their expeience in similar work and the experience of the individuals in the firm with similar work, and list of their labor rates and overhead costs for each phase of the work.
Statements of Qualifications should be sent to Utah State University Purchasing Services, Attention Marsha Howell, 1330 East 700 North, Logan, UT 84322-8300, to arrive no later than Thrusday, October 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M.
Qualifications will beevaluated based on:
The experience and size of the firm
The experience of the individual team members being proposed for the project
The ability to perform the work in a limited time frame
Other work within the firm and how this project would affect work the load
Previous experience working on a university campus.
