State & University Contracts

2006 State Contracts

There are several existing State Contracts for paper products that include both virgin and recycled paper products.
These contract numbers and suppliers are:

  • AR411 Xerographic Paper - for high-speed laser printers only
  • PD024:  Xerographic Paper - cut sheet - Truckload only
  • PD068:  Fine "Printing Related" Paper
  • PD667:  Continuous Form Computer Paper
  • PD397:  Xerographic Paper - cut sheet

For additional information concerning the availability of recycled paper products contact Purchasing Services or access the State Contract information page at the address listed below.

The State of Utah has issued new contracts for the purchase of Scientific Lab Supplies and Chemicals. A duel contract has been issued to Fisher Scientific:

  • MA-121 and VWR Scientific: MA-412

State Agencies and Higher Education Institutions may order from either of these contracts equally, either by using the P-Card (for transactions under $1,000) or by submitting a requisition to Purchasing Services.  Departments are encouraged to examine both contracts and to order from the one that has best price and availability for the needed items.

For additional information concerning these contracts please contact Eugene Higham at 797-1039 or access the State Contract information page at the address listed below.

Information about these and a listing of all current State Contracts can be accessed via the Internet at www.purchasing.state.ut.us or by contacting the  purchasing agent/buyer that has been assigned buying responsibilities for a particular commodity. Bidding is regularly conducted by the State of Utah, Division of Purchasing, for commodities commonly used by the state or entities of the state.  The winners of these bids are awarded State Contracts for the goods or services bid.  The University can purchase, directly from suppliers, those goods or services covered under a state contract without repeating the bidding process.

USU Contracts

Purchasing Services has conducted several "commodity" bids in order to secure the best possible price for items commonly used by the university community as a whole.  These bids have resulted in USU Contracts that should be used by departments when ordering.

Current USU Contracts:

Contact the applicable buyer of each commodity for contract details and additional information.
